Hunter’s Treasure Hunt

There were so many interesting smells to investigate and, of course, lots of important zoomies to do first!

After running around like a pair of furry whirlwinds, Hunter discovered something very exciting.

He sneaked back into the house while Mum was busy talking to little people on her computer.

A few moments later we heard those familiar words...

"Hunter... what have you got there?"

Hunter stopped straight away and looked up at Mum.

Oops!

It turned out he'd found Mum's little wooden sign that says:

"Nan's House – Children Spoilt While You Wait."

Luckily, he'd only just picked it up, so Mum rescued it before it became another one of Hunter's chew toys.

I watched the whole thing very carefully. It's amazing how many interesting treasures humans leave lying around.

The only other problem was the stick. Somehow, without anybody noticing (well... almost nobody), we'd managed to bring it back inside with us.

The nice clean carpet suddenly had little bits of mulch everywhere!

Mum sighed, shook her head and fetched the vacuum cleaner but still managed to laugh.

I think that's one of the nicest things about living together.  Sometimes we make a mess, sometimes we get into a little bit of mischief, but at the end of the day we're still a family, and families always forgive each other.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think Hunter has found another stick in the garden...I'd better go and supervise.
